Rules for Hirara Port (cruise) bookings
Handover near the port
We meet you at Hirara Port and drive you to our nearby rental point to hand over the car. Cars cannot be handed over at the port. Return is at the same point, and we drive you back to the port.
CDW & NOC required
CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) and NOC coverage are required. The daily rate × days is included in the booking total.
Advance payment
Please pay in advance with the invoice we send right after you book. If payment is not confirmed by the day before pickup, our staff will contact you.
Pickup from 8:00
Pickups between 8:00 and 8:59 are available (early-morning fee ¥2,200). Our staff are on standby from 8:00, so the fee is not refunded even if the pickup ends up after 9:00.
Prices appear in the booking form once you select dates and a car. The Hirara Port transfer fee (¥4,000 round trip) is included on days with a cruise rate.

Day trips during your port call
Pick up the car in the morning of your port call and return it before departure. Rentals of up to 24 hours are charged as one day.
Please choose a return time with plenty of margin before your ship departs. After the return, we drive you to the port.
Easy spots to visit during a port call
- Irabu Bridge — A long toll-free bridge linking Miyakojima and Irabu Island — the sea views from the bridge are a Miyakojima classic.
- Yonaha Maehama Beach — A long white-sand beach, one of the island's best known. Combine it with Kurima Bridge in the southwest.
- Higashi-Hennazaki Cape — A cape at the eastern tip of the island with a lighthouse and Pacific views.
Driving times vary with roads and traffic. Plan backwards from your departure time and keep it relaxed.

FAQ
Can I pick up the car at the port?
Cars cannot be handed over at the port. We meet you at Hirara Port and drive you to our nearby rental point.
Can I drive with a foreign driver's license?
You need an International Driving Permit, or for some countries/regions your license plus an official Japanese translation. See the “Driving documents” page for details.
Can I pick up at 8 a.m.?
